On Monday, a good Samaritan rushed to Gus Bilirakis’ rescue after he got stuck in the rain. According to first-hand sources, after being brought under the stranger’s hedge of plastic protection, Bilirakis stared at the man blankly and then uttered, “I am eternally grateful.”
The two apparently stayed under the umbrella for about 20 minutes until the rain stopped. Afterward, Gus thanked his new friend by inviting him to go door-knocking for his 2018 re-election campaign. According to anonymous sources, the stranger politely declined.
